3Up Golf Balls

Here's the idea: 3UP is a 3 peice ball designed to be more responsive in your short game. The design and materials makes the ball spin better with a well struck shot. Now most experts will tell you that the most important aspect of your game is from 150 yards and closer. The margin of error decreases the closer you get to the hole. That's absolutely right!

Rob Zimmerman, creator of the 3Up ball, will tell you that "one well struck shot" from 150 yards or closer will show you exactly why this ball is so good. For many of us, that "1 well struck shot" is a challenge, but when you do hit it well, the benefits of this ball are apparent. Spin is better than the other premium balls we have been using (Titleist ProV and Bridgestone B330).
Rob told us a few things about the ball: 1) it has a Polybutadiene core for maximum distance off the Tee, regardless of swing speed (we saw no loss of distance over our normal ball); 2) the 3-piece design minimizes driver spin and maximized wedge spin (our wedge shots did check up moreso than with our normal ball).
We are average golfers. Therefore, I'm not using any machines to read the rotations or anything. We simply played with the ball and can assure you, it does what it is supposed to do. And when the samples run out, we'll probably go buy some more! Coming from this cheapskate crew, is high praise.

The 3UP is a premium ball, meaning you are going to pay around $40/dozen. The presentation is terific! They come in a velvetine bag, not a box. Also included are some cool accessories. 3UP balls are available on line Here.

Radius Roll Putter

Think of a cue ball. When it hits the target ball, that target ball begins to roll immediately on the line you've chosen. That's the idea of this putter. The face is curved with the same radius as a golf ball. Because of this, the ball starts rolling right off the face on the line you've chose. With a flat blade putter, the ball has a tendency to jump or skip before it starts to roll. This can move the ball off the line you've aimed for, therefore giving an inaccurate putt.

Is it better? For the 2 of us who have tried it over many holes of real golf, not practice green conditions, it does work! Our producer, admittedly not the best putter in the world, sunk a 45 footer. I have not missed anything from 4 feet or closer (out of character for me) and have reduced my three putts substantially! Man, it sure is more fun playing golf when you are more confident on the green!

PowerBilt Air Force One DFX Driver

I'm not a physicist, so I won't even try to explain the science behind this driver. Let it suffice to say the head is filled with compressed Nitrogen. This eliminates the need for any support pieces inside the head, which makes the entire face a sweet spot. That's what they say, anyway. Miss hits still go further and in the right direction. It's true! We've played close to 72 holes with our Air Force One and are very pleased with the results.

My swing speed is under 100 mph and my swing is not really repeatable. Sometimes it works right, sometimes, not so much. I have yet to embarrass myself off the Tee using this driver. Very forgiving! Just what guys like me really need.

Suggested retail is $299.99. Worth every penny if you'd like to feel more confident off the Tee.
